平结又称为方结，在各种类型的结中，平结运用频率最高，也最为人所熟知。用平结将粗细相同的压膜带连在一起，即便接受拉力很大，也非常结实，并且易于解开。粗细不一样的压膜带用此结系在一起并不牢靠，运用涤纶丝材质的压膜带也可以利用平结将压膜带系在其他物体上。
